Maryel Duzan is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington. Part of her work is to teach about entrepreneurship to both undergraduates and MBA’s at UW Bothell Business School. She also coached and judged business plan and social responsibility business plan “pitches” at several universities.
Prior to her work at UW, Maryel was a national consultant in strategic planning and marketing to corporate law and CPA while she ran a congressional campaign. She serves on the University of Washington Arts and Sciences Board, Graduate School Board and Advancement committee. She was also on the Board of Directors for the Center for Women and Democracy, Community Voice Mail, and the UC Santa Barbara Bren School of Eco?Entrepreneurship Advisory Counsel.
Maryel was a co?founder of Seraph Capital Forum, the first women’s Angel funding group in the country. She taught and was on the Bainbridge Graduate Institute Board, and numerous other civic and non?profit boards. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Editorial Journalism from the University of Washington.
